Trevi, formerly known as Trevor, first got public attention when she appeared as a male on the music competition reality series, ‘The X Factor’ in 2012. She was only 13 at the time and wowed judges like Britney Spears and Demi Lovato with an impressive rendition of LMFAO’s song ‘Sexy and I Know It.’
After her appearance on the show, she grew her platform through her YouTube channel, where she would post original songs and honest and open videos of her life and struggles. She came out as gay in 2015 and revealed her struggles with identifying as a cisgender male in 2017.
On June 6, 2020, she posted a video in which she revealed her new name, Trevi, and told her 1.43 million followers that she is a transgender female. She also premiered a trailer for a new docu-series about her transition.
