Biography:
Michelle Yeoh was born on August 6, 1962 in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. At age 21, she was crowned Miss Malaysia and became the representative at the 1983 Miss World pageant in London.
She appeared in a commercial with Jackie Chan afterwards, which caught the attention of the Hong Kong film production company, D&B Films.
As an actress, she is best known for performing her own stunts in Hong Kong films. Some of her notable performances were in the films Tomorrow Never Dies, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and Memoirs of a Geisha, among others.
