Biography:

Justina Machado was born on September 6, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She attended Lane Tech where she graduated in 1990 and moved to New York City shortly afterwards.

In 1996, she relocated to Los Angeles where she landed her first role as Elsa in the television series NYPD Blue. She was also cast as Val Cho in the television film No One Would Tell.

She then gained recognition for her portrayal of Vanessa Diaz in the HBO series Six Feet Under, which she played from 2001 to 2005. She has also starred in such films as Final Destination 2, Torque, and The Call, among others.
