Catherine Bell was born on August 14, 1968 in London, England, UK. She first had her taste of television career when she served as Isabella Rossellini’s double for her character as Lisle von Rhoman in the film Death Becomes Her.

She followed this with her role as Chastity in the film Mother of the Bride. She has since starred in numerous movies including Men of War, Thrill Seekers, and Bruce Almighty.

She then became known among television audience for her role as Maj./Lt. Col. Sarah MacKenzie in the series JAG. From 2007 to 2013, she also starred as Denise Sherwood in Army Wives.
